Multiscale modeling of ferroelectrics with stochastic grain size distribution

چکیده

Macroscopic properties of ferroelectrics are controlled by processes on the microscale, in particular switching crystal unit cells and movement domain walls, respectively. Besides these microscopic levels, grains a polycrystalline material constitute mesoscopic scale. Interactions with statistically distributed orientations, as consequence mechanical electrostatic mismatch, give rise to for example, residual stress which turn affects switching. A multiscale modeling thus has incorporate at least three interacting scales. In this context, condensed method recently been elaborated an efficient tool low computational cost effort implementation. It is extended toward statistical distributions grain sizes representative volume element amended regard evolution. Each few parameters constitutive approach unique physical meaning adapted available experimental values macroscopic quantities barium titanate taken from various sources.

Stochastic Multiscale Modeling

The purpose of theses lectures is to introduce students to some of the interesting phenomena observed with stochastic processes which are evolving on two widely separated time scales. The study, and even definition of such processes involve a wide range of necessary concepts and tools from the theory of probability and stochastic processes. With the short time at our disposal, these notes are a...

Grain size, size-distribution and dislocation structure

Diffraction peak profile analysis (or Line Profile Analysis, LPA) has recently been developed to such an extent that it can be applied as a powerful method for the characterization of microstructures of crystalline materials in terms of crystallite size-distribution and dislocation structures. Physically based theoretical functions and their Fourier coefficients are available for both, the size...

Grain size measurement using distribution classification

The concept of grain size distribution is important in many industrial processes. In this study, rolled chrome concentrate was investigated to find the average grain size. Distribution classification was used with covariance, gray level difference, LBP, Laws and color features. As a comparison cooccurrence features were used. Classification was performed by a distribution classifier using leave...

Finite Element Modeling of Strain Rate and Grain Size Dependency in Nanocrystalline Materials

Nanocrystalline materials show a higher strain-rate sensitivity in contrast to the conventional coarse-grained materials and a different grain size dependency. To explain these phenomenon, a finite element model is constructed that considers both grain interior and grain boundary deformation of nanocrystalline materials. The model consist of several crystalline cores with different orientations...
